Storyline: Set in the early 1900’s, Maine schoolteacher Sarah Wheaton answers advertisement for a ""mail-order bride" and travels to the prairies of Kansas. Her goal — to make a difference in the lives of a widower named Jacob Witting and his two motherless children. Getting Jacob to move on from the memory of his late wife, Sarah opens the door to his lonely heart and takes their family over the threshold to a bright new beginning.
