A DOG SHOW TURNS DEADLY IN MCBRIDE “DOGGED,” A HALLMARK ORIGINAL MYSTERY MOVIE PREMIERING MARCH 10 When McBride’s (John Larroquette) latest stunt lands him in jail for contempt of court, he meets an attractive blonde in the next cell accused of murdering a veterinarian at a dog show, in MCBRIDE “Dogged,” the two-hour Hallmark Channel Original Mystery Movie premiering Saturday, March 10 (9/8c). McBride also stars Marta DuBois as no-nonsense plainclothes police detective Sergeant Roberta Hansen and Matt Lutz as McBride’s young investigative partner Phil Newberry. The case against Laurie Carter (Samantha Smith, “Supernatural”) seems compelling: she was caught bent over the victim (Richard Lineback, “The Baby Dance”), her former lover, with a gun in her hand at the country club where her golden retriever had just won best in show. But McBride thinks that the facts of the case don’t add up. He and Phil soon discover plenty of people on the dog show circuit who had it in for the victim, the accused, or both. “McBride: Dogged” reunites Larroquette with Charles Robinson, who played court clerk Mac Robinson on “Night Court.” Robinson portrays a judge with zero tolerance for McBride’s theatrics. Michele Greene, (Emmy® nominee “L.A. Law”) plays a dog trainer with a secret. Jon Lindstrom (“Port Charles”) portrays the victim’s opportunistic business partner. Joanna Going (“Into the West”) is the victim’s wheelchair-bound socialite widow and Tom Hallick (“The Young and the Restless”) is her doctor. James Wilder (“Melrose Place,” “Models Inc”) plays a mysterious stalker and Brook Kerr (“Passions”) is the veterinarian’s not-so-loyal assistant. McBride is an RHI Entertainment presentation. Robert Halmi, Jr. and Larry Levinson are executive producers. Dean Hargrove is creator and executive producer. Nick Lombardo and Amy Goldberg are co-executive producers. Brian J. Gordon and Erik Olson are producers. John Larroquette directed from a script by Nicholas Hicks-Beach & Shelley Miller. The Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie is A Mat IV Production in association with Alpine Medien and Larry Levinson Productions.
