Storyline When one half of a popular drive-time radio duo is arrested for murdering his partner, it seems like a slam-dunk case – until McBride uncovers a list of other suspects that includes virtually everyone else at the station. McBride agrees to defend a popular drive-time radio host, in spite of a mountain of evidence that points to his guilt, in the murder case of his on-air partner. As he begins to investigate who else might have had a motive for killing the abrasive talk show host, however, he finds that almost everyone at the station had something to gain from the slain personality’s death. more
Synopsis When an elderly woman is arrested for attacking a supermarket security guard who mistook her for a shoplifter, McBride (John Larroquette) portrays her actions as the result of frailness and age and quickly wins her acquittal. Soon after, McBride and Phil (Matt Lutz) are driving to the office when Phil turns on the Ron and Bob Show, a popular morning drive-time duo on local talk show station KTMB. McBride is less than impressed by their patter, but Phil is a fan so it’s no surprise, when Ron (Frazer Smith) is found murdered the next day, that Phil encourages McBride to take the case. With a preponderance of evidence pointing to Bob (John Kapelos) as the killer of his on-air partner, Bob’s entertainment law firm sends a large check as a down payment for McBride’s services. more
