Jane Doe: Yes, I Remember It Well DOWNLOAD (pdf) PREVIOUSLY RELEASED CONTACT: Pam Slay, 818.755.2480 January 12, 2006 Sheri Goldberg, 818.755.1225 HOLY MATROPHOBIA! IF IT’S NOT ONE THING, IT’S YOUR MOTHER -- DONNA MILLS GUEST STARS AS JANE DOE’S UNDERCOVER MOTHER Third Season Launch Brings Lea Thompson Together With Donna Mills in the Premiere of JANE DOE, “Yes, I Remember It Well,” January 14 Donna Mills (“Knots Landing”) guest stars as Jane Doe’s undercover mother in Jane Doe, “Yes, I Remember It Well,” which premieres on Hallmark Channel Saturday, January 14 (9/8c). Jane Doe also stars Joe Penny (“Jake and the Fat Man”) and William R. Moses (“The Perry Mason Mystery”). Mills plays Polly, a long-time CSA agent and mother of brain-busting crime solver, Cathy Davis (Thompson), a suburban mom who leads a double life decoding crimes for the government. Polly, who has long held the belief that her daughter has resigned from the agency, has unexpectedly dropped in on the Davis family just as Cathy receives word from agent Frank Darnell (Penny) about a ruthless crime that happened in broad daylight. A team of kidnappers (Alla Korot, “All My Children” and Nicholas Guilak, “Saving Jessica Lynch”) has snatched British agent Iain Smythe (Michael Tomlinson, “The L Word”) right out of the strong arms of CSA operatives. Finding Smythe, who is also known as Dr. Mnemonic for having memorized the names and addresses of every British agent in the Middle East, is crucial. Having Polly underfoot is going to make Cathy’s assignment very difficult. With the help of her husband Jack (Moses), Cathy hopes to keep Mom busy with her grandkids (Zack Shada and Jessy Schram). But Polly has more than just mother’s intuition. As a veteran agency operative herself, it doesn’t take long for her to figure out that her daughter has rejoined the CSA. Looming for Polly is forced retirement to a desk job, but she is not about to let her daughter have all the fun, particularly when she learns that a former flame, British secret agent Simon Custer (Clement Von Franckenstein, “All My Children”), is also on the case. Polly soon joins Cathy, Simon, and agents Darnell and Chip (Bumper Robinson, “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch”) in the race to find the missing agent. Once the bad guys are captured, Cathy takes the opportunity to let her mother know her pending retirement from the agency will not change the fact that Polly was Cathy’s first and most influential female role model. Polly tells Cathy how very proud she is of her and bestows upon the younger agent her own tools of the spy trade – a customized set of lock-picks. Polly leaves happy, but like “Bewitched” character, Endora, it’s hard to tell where she might turn up next!
