Jane Doe: The Wrong Face DOWNLOAD (pdf) PREVIOUSLY RELEASED CONTACT: Pam Slay, 818.755.2480 March 7, 2005 Sheri Goldberg, 818.755.1225 LEA THOMPSON SAVES THE COUNTRY; FULL-TIME WIFE, PART-TIME SPY RETURNS TO DECODE MYSTERIES IN ‘JANE DOE’ “The Wrong Face,” Fourth Jane Doe Installment, Premieres XXX Lea Thompson returns for the fourth installment of the Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie franchise Jane Doe in “The Wrong Face,” which premieres on the network, Sunday, June 19 (9/8c). Jane Doe also stars Joe Penny (“Jake and the Fatman”) and William R. Moses (“Perry Mason” mystery movies). Lea plays suburban mom and brain-busting puzzle inventor Cathy Davis who leads a double life decoding crimes for the National Security Agency which is covertly sheltered in the basement of the Davis’ neighborhood market. When near impossible crimes baffle the NSA, agent Frank Darnell (Penny) calls codename “Jane Doe” and enlists the gamesmanship of his former partner, who breaks down rubrics, rebuses and arithmetical cryptographies for fun. The discipline of Cathy’s real-life occupation transforms the inexplicable acts of criminals into mathematical and modal logic that allows Jane Doe to “see” what other agents cannot see – the “how-dunit,” as well as the “whodunit.” Cathy’s family is blissfully clueless about her sleuthing. Her frequent trips to market sate two distinct appetites; cakes and cookies for the family and classified information for the national security of the country. In “The Wrong Face,” the NSA is on the verge of cracking a long-running investigation into an international money laundering scheme when the wife of one of the principals is kidnapped. Will the disappearance of the U.S. Attorney’s spouse after a hush-hush facelift jeopardize the top secret sting? Only Cathy can make sure Darnell’s operation doesn’t fall apart at the seams. Jane Doe is a Hallmark Entertainment presentation. Robert Halmi, Jr. and Larry Levinson are executive producers.
