 Lea Thompson, TV’s brain-busting puzzle decoder, “Jane Doe,” and a busy wife and mother in real life, must be thinking ‘déjà vu, all over again’ as she prepares to direct an upcoming episode of her popular series, JANE DOE which premieres exclusively on the Hallmark Channel. No small surprise the top name on the talented star’s casting request is equally talented real-life husband, director Howard Deutch (“Pretty in Pink,” “Grumpier Old Men”). In an interview this week, Thompson recalled, “During the filming of ‘Jaws 3-D,’ Dennis Quaid was my acting coach and fiancé, but four years later, Howie hired me for ‘Some Kind of Wonderful.’  We fell in love and became engaged.” more 

William R Moses

 Actor William R. Moses and writer/producer Dean Hargrove go back a long way.  They worked together for six years in the late ’80s and early ’90s when Moses costarred in the popular series of “Perry Mason” mystery movies, which Hargrove produced. They even teamed up once to pitch a network series idea that never quite got off the ground. So one might deduce that casting Billy Moses as Lea Thompson’s husband in the Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie franchise “ Jane Doe” is a case of Hargrove going back to an actor he knew he could rely on.
