David Freeman, an ordinary 12-year-old boy, returns home one evening to suddenly find that it is eight years later, even though he hasn’t aged a day.  The explanation to where he’s been leads to a fantastic journey aboard a time-traveling alien spacecraft.  As he tries to return to the family and time he lost, a shadowy group of government agents is more interested in studying him and the craft.
