David James Elliott and Academy and Emmy Award-winner Ellen Burstyn star in “Dodson’s Journey,” airing on Hallmark Channel, Saturday, November 4 (11am/10 c).
The movie, based on James Dodson’s autobiographical novel Faithful Travelers: A Father, A Daughter, A Fly-Fishing Journey of the Heart, tells the story of James Dodson who, while facing an impending divorce and the recent death of his father, goes on a fly-fishing trip with his seven-year-old daughter Maggie. There perspective wins over fear and love triumphs tragedy.
Along with James Dodson, who wrote the novel, John Pielmeier contributes by writing the teleplay. Gregg Champion directs.
“Dodson’s Journey” is a Regency Films and CBS Television movie.
