CAST BIOS

 

 

William Devane (George Boyajian) – With an extensive career in television, including series and movies, Mr. Devane’s credits are immense.  Some of his well-known series roles include the “Michael Richards Show,” “Turks,” “The Monroes,” “Phenom” and “Knots Landing.”  His most notable movie-of-the-week credits are “Freefall: Flight 174,” “For The Love Of Nancy,” “Obsessed,” “Timestalkers” and “Virus.”  In addition to a successful television career, Mr. Devane has a very prominent feature film career including “McCabe and Mrs. Miller,” “Testament,” “Payback,” “Family Plot,” “Space Cowboys,” “Yanks” and “The Hollow Man.”  For three consecutive years, Devane received Soap Opera Digest Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor category for his role on “Knots Landing.”  Additional recognitions include two Emmy, one Golden Apple, one Golden Globe and two Soap Opera Digest nominations.

Meredith Baxter (Carol Boyajian) – Encompassing television, film and stage credits, Ms. Baxter is best recognized for her role as the beloved mother on the hit television series “Family Ties.”  Getting her start with television series, Ms. Baxter is also credited with “Bridget Loves Bernie” and “Family,” for which she received an Emmy nomination.  She also received Emmy nominations for each of her leading roles in “A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story,” for the sequel, “Her Final Fury: Betty Broderick, The Last Chapter,” and for “Other Mothers.”  Realizing the power of being behind and in front of the camera, Ms. Baxter created M. Baxter Productions where she starred in, as well as executive produced the television movies “Darkness Before Dawn,” “My Breast,” “Betrayed: The Story of Three Women” and “The Long Journey Home.”  Ms. Baxter’s stage credits include “Guys and Dolls,” “Talley’s Folly,” “The Diaries of Adam and Eve” and “Vanities.”  Feature film credits consist of “Miracle on the 17th Green,” “Down Will Come Baby” and a cameo role alongside Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman in the famous film, “All the President’s Men.”  In addition to portraying strong women in front of the camera, off camera Ms. Baxter executes equal the duty.  She speaks out on women’s rights issues, of the most important, women’s breast cancer.  In support of this, she created the Meredith Baxter Foundation for Breast Cancer Research wherein a portion of the profits from a skincare line she created go to.

Dean McDermott (Matthew) – Mr. McDermott’s television credits include his series lead on “Power Play” and “Due South.”  He has also had recurring guest star roles on “Earth: Final Conflict,” “Tracker” and “Jake & The Kid.”  As well as numerous other television guest appearances on “Twice In A Lifetime,” “La Femme Nikita,” “The Outer Limits,” “Nancy Drew Series” and “Sweating Bullets.”  Mr. McDermott’s lead feature film credits consist of “Brian’s Song,” “Claire’s Hat,” “WWIII,” “The Joe Torre Story,” “High Country” and “Paris Crew.”  In addition, a few of his feature film co-star credits are “A Cool, Dry Place,” “Birdland,” “Christmas in America” and “Iron Eagle IV.”

Reagan Pasternak (Jean Boyajian) Honing herself early on for the journey ahead, Ms. Pasternak began performing in music and dance at a young age.  While at a singing audition, Ms. Pasternak was redirected into the line of acting by a casting director.  She has gone on to accomplish television credits such as “Hard Times: The David Milgaard Story,” “In a Heartbeat” and guest roles on “The Associates,” “Mutant X,” “Blue Murder” and “Earth: Final Conflict.”  Additionally, Ms. Pasternak has held lead roles in “Our Hero,” “Due South” and “Jail Bait!.”  She most recently joined the cast of “The Newsroom.”

Aaron Ashmore (John Boyajian) – Getting his start in the 1993 television movie “Gross Misconduct,” Mr. Ashmore has gone on to capture roles in numerous other television features.  To name a few, “My Husband’s Double Life,” “Dying to Dance,” “Charms For The Easy Life,” “The Last Don II” and “Blackout.”  Other television performances Mr. Ashmore is known for are his roles in the following television series: “Twice In a Lifetime,” “Blue Murder,” “Nikita,” “Are You Afraid of the Dark,” “The Famous Jett Jackson,” “Due South” and most recently, “The 11th Hour.”   His feature film credits include “Treed Murray,” “Safety of Objects” and “Married to It.”
