HALLMARK CHANNEL GOES ON LOCATION WITH FIRST-EVER ONLINE SERIES PREMIERING FRIDAY, AUGUST 15

Hallmark Channel will launch “Hallmark Channel on Location,” the network’s first-ever hosted online series devoted to the behind-the-scenes news and events of the network’s roster of family-friendly original movies as well as Hollywood films.  Available at www.hallmarkchannel.com, “Hallmark Channel on Location” will feature informal and intimate interviews with stars, writers, producers and directors, as well as on-set stories—all providing a close-up look at the magic of moviemaking.  “Hallmark Channel on Location” will cover each new Hallmark Channel original movie, and will have a permanent home on a specially-designed microsite.  The series will also visit red-carpet theatrical premieres and press junkets.  The half-hour program premieres online on Friday, August 15, with segments also appearing on Hallmark Movie Channel.
Hallmark Channel has hired Stacey Gualandi to produce each episode and serve as the series’ interviewer and host.  She reports to Marvin Dorson, Senior Vice President, Creative Services.  Stacey is a national television host and correspondent who started her career as Molly Ringwald’s stand-in in “Fresh Horses.”  Her extensive background in the entertainment industry includes serving as senior west coast correspondent for “Inside Edition,” breaking news reporter for “TV Guide Network,” and field producer for “Extra.”  Most recently, she hosted “On Tour” for FOX’s Las Vegas affiliate, KVVU.  Stacey graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
“‘Hallmark Channel on Location’ results from our increasing investment in quality, original, online content where viewers will have yet another opportunity to satisfy their appetite for all things Hallmark Channel and all things Hollywood,” said Dorson.  “We’re also thrilled to have Stacey on board as the energetic new host of this series.  Her production experience coupled with her refreshing on-camera personality will make this show not only informative and entertaining, but also distinctive.”
First up, “Hallmark Channel on Location” visits the set of the network’s original movie, “For the Love of Grace,” starring Mark Consuelos, Chandra West and Corbin Bernsen, and premiering on the network on Saturday, August 30 (9 p.m., ET/PT).  “Hallmark Channel on Location” will be a main feature of a rich media microsite dedicated to the original movie.
Hallmark Channel, owned and operated by Crown Media Holdings, Inc., is a 24-hour basic cable network that provides a diverse slate of high-quality entertainment programming to a national audience of nearly 84 million subscribers.  The top tier program service is distributed through more than 5,450 cable systems and communities as well as direct-to-home satellite services across the country.  Hallmark Channel consistently ranks among the top 10 ad-supported cable networks in Prime Time and Total Day household ratings and is the nation’s leading network in providing quality family programming.  Crown Media also operates a second 24-hour linear channel which plays the greatest family movies of all time, Hallmark Movie Channel, and launched Hallmark Movie Channel HD in April, 2008.
