Edward Georger
Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel
Biography
Edward Georger is the Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. He is based in the networks’ New York headquarters and reports to Bill Abbott, Executive Vice President, Advertising Sales.
In this role, Georger oversees sales teams in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta, including Direct Response and Paid Programming Sales. He works closely with senior management to develop the channel’s annual and five year business plans as they relate to advertising goals and revenues. He was instrumental in forming the network’s Sponsorship Solutions Unit, which creates customized and multi-platform opportunities for advertisers, and is credited with opening the network’s ad sales offices in Atlanta and Detroit and retaining top sales executives to work in each office.
Prior to joining Hallmark Channel, Georger held several positions at Family Channel and Fox Family Channel, most recently as the Vice President of Eastern Sales. There he hired, trained and managed a sales team responsible for national advertiser accounts and the development of sales presentations, and worked closely with the planning team to price and monitor inventory based on ratings delivery.
Georger also worked as a Network Buyer at Backer Spielvogel Bates, Inc. on major accounts, including Miller Brewing Company, Hyundai and M&M Mars, Inc.
Georger received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of South Carolina. He resides in Westchester, New York with his wife and two children.
