Charles L. Stanford has been Executive Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs and General Counsel of Crown Media Holdings since 2001. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs of Crown Media International. From 1976 until 1999, Stanford worked for ABC, Inc. and Capital Cities/ABC, Inc. in a variety of capacities, including as head of the Legal and Business Affairs departments of ABC Sports, the ABC Broadcast Group, and the ABC Cable and New Media group. He was also an adjunct Associate Professor at New York University from 1988 through 1999, teaching music law. Prior to ABC, Stanford worked as an attorney with the Broadcast Bureau of the FCC and with the Massachusetts Cable Television Commission.
